Counselling

NDIS approved for plan-managed participants

People often reach out simply with a sense that something in life isn't working the way it used to. You don't need a label or clear explanation for why you're here, just a sense that you'd like things to feel steadier, clearer and more manageable.

Who this support is for

This support is for anyone facing change, uncertainty or emotional strain. You might be:

  • Living with a chronic or degenerative health condition
  • Supporting a partner, parent or loved one through illness
  • Facing grief, loss or end-of-life situations
  • Adjusting to disability or major life changes
  • Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or unsure about the future
  • Simply needing a space to talk things through

You don’t need to be in crisis and you don’t even need to know if this is the right service for you. Many people just know they’d like someone to walk alongside them for a while.

How support works

Counselling is completely private and confidential and comprises of one-to-one sessions at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Sessions are:

  • Calm, respectful and person-centred
  • Focused on your strengths, values and goals
  • Duration of up to 90 minutes each and available in-person, online or by phone, whatever suits you.

My role is not to diagnose or fix you, but to provide a steady, supportive space where you can talk openly, reflect and make sense of what’s happening.

Your role is to simply show up as you are. There’s no expectation to have the right words or a clear plan.

What this support can help with

Counselling can support you to:

  • Make sense of what’s happening in your life
  • Find steadiness during uncertain or difficult times
  • Navigate illness, disability or changing health
  • Support a loved one through serious illness or end of life
  • Process grief, loss or major life transitions
  • Talk through decisions or difficult conversations
  • Feel less alone in what you’re facing

This work isn’t about fixing you. It’s about creating space for clarity, understanding and a more grounded way forward.

What to expect first

Reaching out is simple and low pressure.

Usually we begin with a short conversation to talk about what’s going on and what kind of support might be helpful. There’s no obligation to continue and it’s completely okay to be unsure.

If it feels like a good fit, we can arrange a first session and take things one step at a time.

Reaching out is easier than you think

Take the first step

Reaching out doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

The first step is simple: a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s happening for you, what you’d like for yourself, and what kind of support feels right.
